    Modi’s messiah complex and the Muslim community’s rampaging exceptionalism in almost all matters feed into each other. The sad( and familiar ) spectacle of Hindus in Manipur with their backs to the wall amid the looming shadows of a blood-curdling silence of the Indian State should now be taken and internalized as a representational image of a future reality that is fast approaching.
    In your excellent discussion on the UCC, you’ve unpacked the nuances and hidden meanings between the lines and have accurately read the Writings on the Wall for all of us.
    You’ve rightly pointed out, among other concerns, how the UCC will only provide a Fillip to cases of Love Jihad; and how, when Personal Laws are applied Equally, the inevitable possibility of Muslim boys dangling this Egalitarian carrot before gullible Hindus girls will further Disabuse their already addled minds about any remaining Misgivings that they currently harbour.
    You also made an important observation about how an overwhelming majority of Muslim women will appear to accept the UCC, essentially virtue-signalling in order to throw Hindus off the scent, while in reality accepting UCC but within Islamic Parameters.
    And I know you were not being Flippant when you suggested that If Muslims are unwilling to accept Reforms suggested/ passed by Kafirs, Modi must Convert to Islam and then Proceed to Reform, this time as a Muslim ?
    Yes, sadly, we do have a modern-day Gandhi at the helm of affairs for whom the ringing applause of posterity matters more than the long-running humiliations nd relentless sufferings of those very citizens whose unstinting and world resounding mandate had once crowned him as the Hriday Samrat of the Hindus.
